Character customizer. I started as a Brilliant Strategist count of Paris, then changed to arcane master; now a lot of arcane masters are simply disappearing, even those on distant realms that had no interaction with me or my realm.
Edit: He is also a hidden vampire.

The trait has some requirements, which, in retrospect, don't really make sense with the education system.
I don't quite recall if I added these or if they were in the original and I just expanded them, but I'm thinking I'll just remove them and try to adjust the AI taking the appropriate focuses instead. They'll be available, but less likely for the AI to take.

Alternately, I could have characters who don't meet the requirements have it replaced with the appropriate theology education. In this case, I'll add a special trait to make an exception for characters that start with magic education

Currently, you need to meet one of these requirements:
- Pagan
- Satanist
- Possessed
- Mystic
- Enchanter
- Summoner
- God, Demi-god, or Blood of the Gods
- Dragonborn (though, oddly, not dragon, which looks like an oversight.)
- Demon
- Either parent had a magic education

Summoner and Enchanter require magic education. Since there's no way legitimate to gain the lifestyle without the education, that probably won't change. The requirement is there to stop the game from randomly generating character with no magic that can still cast spells.

Not sure if this is really important, but I can't seem to find the updated mod on Steam. I still have my links to the old version but it says it's not been updated since september 2017.

It appears that Kellen's computer blew up (or at least blew a capacitor), so he hasn't had a chance to upload it to Steam, threadmark the release, or add the download to the OP yet.

I have managed to use my (also very broken) laptop to threadmark what needs threadmarking and added the download to the OP.
good grief, they really don't make things like they used to.

How do I summon a demon, djinn, etc? Is it an event in the magic focus line or is there supposed to be a decision?
If you have the magic focus and are studying conjuration, there's an event where you can summon one of three specific demons.
If you have the summoner trait, there's a "Summon Servant" decision, costing 100 gold, 100 piety, and 200 prestige to get a skilled, custom, albeit randomly focused characters. There is a chance to fail, which will bring a somewhat dangerous (though usually still skilled) character to your court. Better learning and education will improve your chances of success as well as the characters themselves, as will owning some of the new artifacts.

Hey thanks for the reply. I got one of the three demons, the tower event and have the summoner trait now but still no summon servant decision in the list.

I will try to look in to that tomorrow. I'm working on a minor update with some bugfixes which I plan to release next week and I'll see if I can locate the problem and get it in there.

I noticed some problems with the models for armies where one of the special types is the majority. For an ethereal army, there's no model--just the banner with the number of troops and morale. For a zombie army, the model is a ship.

Also, a suggestion: how about showing a global narrative event (like the ones we get for the Black Death or a heresy taking over) when the zombie apocalypse starts?

I'll take a look at switching those models. While an Ethereal army not being visible sounds nice from a flavor perspective, I bet taht's going to cause gameplay issues. And zombies just shouldn't be ships.

Zombies are getting a large rework soon. There isn't really a point where the zombie apocalypse starts - they've on the map at the beginning and slowly blob out of control. Or rather, quickly blob out of control. Right now, they are mostly unchanged, but where they'll stand after the overhaul is a bit unknown.

There's a localization bug when you reform the Draconic religion. Counties with the old religion show up on the religion map as "<section sign>Y<section sign>! Draconic".

That affects all pagan heresies. Normally, "Old" gets put in front of the name, causing 2 religions to be called "Old Jotnar"
That was part of a work-around that turned out to look fine in most test but not on the map. I'm working on an alternate fix.
