NA player looking for regular MP group

Hey...I live in NA, and have a high-speed connection.

I'm tired of starting MP games, and never getting past the first half century. I'm looking to get with a group that plays a few hours every weekend. It doesn't matter if you're just starting or if you're already in the middle of a GC, and find yourself short a player....whatever.

I'm at work then I've got a work dinner meeting so I'll be back about 10pm tonight.

The problem is that I dont keep my scandivian contacts in a seperate file, I seperate along the lines of Regulars, good players, general, North Americans, North American good blokes & tossers. You could do the list yourself if you went through it? But it would take ages.
Why would you want a scandivian list only anyhow? Surely anyone in Europe is OK? No?

Well I had, as you know, some serious connectivity problems. I was hoping finding local players would help deal with lag problems.

However, I’m glad to report that I’ve replaced my cable modem this morning and it seems to have solved my connectivity problems. Additionally I’ve order an ADSL 512 Kbit line as backup. In the future I should be very stable and fast. With that in mind I think I can promise no more fallout in games on my account.

So when do we get another legendary Mover game? I am really missing playing with you. Perhaps an old guys list wouldn’t go amiss. In my experience old players seem more inclined to the kind of games I like.

Lag only really seems to be an issue across the adlantic and even then its only really bad sometimes. Although I can see why you would want a scandivian games only, you guys do have a very good telecoms infrastructure up there.

Pleased to hear you got the line sorted. We will need to wait for Gary to return from holiday to finish off the old game which is 2 weeks time.

I'm out nearly every night at the moment. Returning to work etc is taking a serious toll on my EU-ing. Shame you werent around in March/April when I was playing 6 hours a day.

I wouldnt mind having a new game this weekend, starting early saturday morning and going right through the day and then repeating the process on Sunday. I'm out in the evenings though. I've got a good idea of who might play. 1492 start, 7 players inc 2 switchers. I'll send out an ICQ messages this evening and see who might be interested.

Old guys list eh? I think ICQ needs to get a bit more advanced before I add that too.

You are amazing! You are, like, always on line just as advertised. How about an ICQ at work as well? Or do you actually need to get some work done from time to time? Needless to say I want in on your new weekend game. Hopefully it will be up to your usual high standards. Any chance of playing the superpower of the game? As previously mentioned I’d like to play Spain in such a way as to avoid her becoming public enemy number one. Letting England/France have North America without Spanish interference and release the Netherlands seem like a good start. Possible reserved South Africa for the Netherlands as well.
