Yes, things will change once 0.40 is out. All of the economic levels will be additive rather than the current system where a single level is assigned. Also, a number of techs are set to not transfer to Revolters and this includes the PI/SI/FI techs. so every released nation will normally start out as AG. the more advanced revolters should be able to "rebuild" their economy by researching back to their old level. This should put a damper on released nations.

I tried to play a game as Nat Spain as well. My goal was to assist Germany and try and rebuild the old Spanish empire. My problem was I couldn't build IC and I couldn't conquer any countries that had any IC. I did eventually get tech to build IC, but it wasn't untill about '43.

Once the US declared war on us I was pretty much doomed. Germany won't invade the UK and it's worthless in a fight against the US. So it was up to me if any headway was to be made. I gave up on the game sadly; but I'd like to give it another run. Maybe stay out of the Axis this time.

Actually, several nations completely changed their industrial states in this time period, the USSR, China, and Italy was trying, it isnt crazy to think it could have happened.

hi, I also have problem regarding nat. spain but mine is somewhat different...I am playing as Italy in 36 campaign..when spanish civil war broke out, I signed neurality agreement but assisted nat. spain which means -9 offmap supply production..initially, nat. spain did well but then tight turned, rep. spain took southern part of the country and nat. spain retreated to north(deportivo,saragossa,bilbao,barcelona)..and until 1940 nat. spain hold these provinces( -9 offmap supply continues)...at last rep. spain attacked and annexed nat. spain..but strangely, my -9 offmap supply still remained..I waited for a while, then an event came saying that my brigades returned from spain(so, I gained a blueprint)..but once again, -9 offmap supply remained..I am at war with allies, and did very well at both sea and land.. but by march 1941, I am still sending supplies to nonexistent nat. spain.. It made me so annoyed that I closed the game in which I started the war with great success..


can I do something to correct this error? I really want to continue my game..

If you have a saved game of your Italy campaign, then you can open it up, find the section relating to Italy, and then find the section that looks like this :-

oil = 0.0000
supplies = -33.0000
rare_materials = 0.5000
metal = 1.0000
energy = 2.0000
money = 0.0000
transport = 0.0000
escort = 0.0000
ic = 1.0000
manpower = 0.0000
}

Just change the number where it says "supplies = -33.00" (in this example) to "supplies = -24.00" (ie eliminating the 9 supplies/day that were going to Nat Spain).

historyman, to find a section relating to Italy, what I should search for when I click CTRL+F (capital = ?)..I am very amateur in editing save files and I cannot find sections of nations..

Capital = 515

that should find you the Italian section (515 is the province number for Rome).

Hi Makif,

Another quick way to scroll between countries in your savegame file is to search for country = {
This should take you to the beginning of each country. Italy is about the 5th or 6th country down IIRC. It makes it a lot easier than manually scrolling I can tell you!
