Hi, just like to say that you've done a great job! Appreciate the effort!

However, there seems to be an issue with the Naval bombers, at least the German version I ones. The claim to have a range of 200km, but can't even make it to the baltic from adjacent airfields. They report that even ports in their own hex are "out of range" I think somehow their range is set as 0km.

Also, could somebody please tell med how I could change the cost and effectiveness of Heavy divisions? I get silly results with these repeatedly. If you add them to an italian panzer the UK can't get through no matter what. I've seen 40+ divisions give up to force my three lowly model 3 medium panzers out of the desert. Likewise, the entire Italian armed forces 35+ divisions, bombers and bombardment can't budge the UK's 5 divisions standing guard at the Suez canal. Since this doesn't look like a bug, but only a gamebalance issue I would like to correct it in my own version.

Best regards,

Hi!
Stony gives your navbombers a penalty of some 300 or 500 km at the beginning. So Navbombers with a range of 250 will really have 0.
To correct this problem just take the savefile make a backup of the file and search the German part. Now somewhere there in the upper part is the description of your unit and their modifiers. DO not take the modifiers for weather or landscape, it is a seperate part. There you will find a line telling you that your navbombers have "range = -300". Change the number to 0 or whatever you like and your bombers will fly.

Hope I could help

I have this naval Bomber problem too, The above description to solve the problem seems specific to each nation. Is there a way to solve this problem across the board? It is getting really annoying having Nav bomber with no range for each nation, especially when you have to research the tech for carriers.
I liked using naval bombers, can anybody help?

I think you would have to search the event that gives the penalty in the folder HSR/db\events. Somewhere there in the massive number of events the event is stored. Now find it ;)
and then change the penalty to every number you like.

Go to HOI/HSR/db/events/"Aregorn adjustments" (I think that's the path - I am not at my own computer just now)

Somewhere toward the bottom of the file there is an event that modifies various things based on difficulty. There are a couple different ones, in fact, based on diff level. What you do is manually edit that event file so that where it says something along the lines of "Range NAV -250" you can change it to -0 or -10 or whatever you like.

Doesn't help your current game but in the future the NAV range will work better.

I love the mod and play it to the exclusion of all else but I do tweak some of the settings that make things a little bit too difficult on H or VH (I compensate in the other direction by trying to play semi-historically and avoid gamey exploits)
