What I meant was more along the line of either 'permanent navies were rare meaning so few were added that we haven't seen any' or 'the navies hadn't been added to the scenarios yet and I tried to be humorous about it'.

I really, truely hope that Paradox has finally included some feature to allow you to transport your allie's troops, or at least lease his ships. The lack of this feature has a huge negative effect on HoI... :(
 
I am hoping for several different unit types like Caravels, Carracks, Transports, merchant ships ect.
 
The English troops for an example most have ships to move to continental terrain, don't they?
I would cry if the English, well Anglosaxon and Normans don't have a option to move troops except on the British island :eek:

I imagine dromones, for the Byzantines, imagine Trireme with a forified tower that spewed "YGRO PYR", or what westerners called "Greek fire".
