It should be Danske Flåde and Norske Flåde... besides you should probably drop Norske Flåde as norske means Norwegian

No clue what nefs means, but someone came up with it. It's translated as naves by some online translators, including babelfish. It's Schiffe in German, so I have no clue why it becomes naves in English, but apparently it means something like ships

Probably Gaelic. Nefs doesn't sound very English to me

"Nef" is French and stands for "ship". It is a somewhat deprecated word, rarely used excepted in composite like "astronef" ("spaceship"). Today, we would rather say "navire" (ou "bateau"). Hence, the use of "Nefs de ..." standing for "Ships of ..."

BTW, "nef" is also used in architecture to define a part of a church or cathedral ("nave", as translated using WordReference.com).

Make sure you put in "Fleet of Foot" for everyone.

I wish EU2 used individual naval units so you could have ship names; like "The Adjudicator" or "The Illustrious" or "White Rhino Row-Boat". I always loved naming my ships in Civ3. *nostalgic* My favorite was naming several ships the same name, then using them to trick people into thinking what I wanted them too. I remember once I tricked my brother in Civ3 MP into thinking I had a tiny navy cuz I kept a lot of ships moving around with the same name. So he saw like 4-5 ships when I had triple that.
