Don't know whether or not anyone's done this before, but I was sure as heck pleased it happened to me, though the fact the circumstances permitted it was probably just a fluke.
Heh.
In any case, here's what happened: I'm mindin' my own business, gettin' little 'ol Prussia mighty colonial empire, not botherin' anyone at all, just keepin' to myself. Even got a full military Alliance with Britain and Russia, to boot. Then along out of nowhere, Denmark, of all places, goes and declares colonial war on me. Well, I'm really in no position to defend myself, seeing as I've got colonies all over Africa, and no troops to speak of in the area, and Denmark has no colonies of it's own, so no hope in intimidating them into backing off, and of course, I can't very well march on into Copenhagen under the circumstances.
Or can I?
As luck would have it, that's exactly what I ended up doing.
In ignorant frustration, I decided to declare war on Holstein, a satellite of Denmark, in hopes of dragging Denmark into a real war. Well, no dice.
However, I called upon my allies, simply because I didn't think to click "no", and, as it turned out, the military alliance I was in with Russia happened to include Denmark as well, so rather than declare war on me, Denmark dishonored it's vassal-dom with Holstein, and declared war on it. So here I am, in a colonial war against Denmark, and in a real war WITH Denmark. So, what do I do?
March what few troops I have over into Holstein, and on into Denmark. As soon as Holstein falls, bada-bing, bada-boom, my troops engage the Danish forces in Copenhagen.
lol
Weird.
