Need help. Game won't run.

I recently purchased and installed Rome: Vae Victus. The game won't load. I keep getting this message:

File Exception: Exception in: .\discfile.cpp, line 425. Description: Could not open file:

It doesn't say what file it can not open. I have no mods installed. I have nothing to indicate my if my firewall is interfering and I do not believe it would because I never had issues with the original game version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I thoroughly enjoy the original Rome and have wanted Vae Victus since it came out but only recently was able to download it. This is kinda like stubbing your toe, if anyone understands my pain. lol

Did you try re-installing the game? Maybe you also have some sort of permission issues? Try running the game in administrator mode to see if it helps.

Do you have the game from Gamestop? If so this is a known problem in their VV files which they claim they can't fix

All you can do is ask for a refund from them, as that user did successfully. Unfortunately to get VV from another vendor you'd need to buy the whole Rome:Gold game (ie Rome+VV). You can get the package for $10 from Steam or GamersGate.
