I've recently tried playing a multiplayer game with my friend via valkryienet but have been unable to join the game no matter who hosts. If either of us hosts when the other joins we get the same message to check your firewall/router. Now does that mean theres a problem host side or join side? Also how would I go about fixing this.

FYI: I have a D link router and a hardware firewall with the router.

I had similar troubles and had no desire to play programmer lite. I saw a program mentioned on these boards, Hamachi (from Hamachi.com) that allows 2 or more computers to act like a LAN via the internet without a bunch of playing around with routers and ports. I have used it successfully with HOI 1 and have seen reports that it works fine with HOI 2. Cheers.

I also have the D LINK 604+ 2.5Mbps ADSL Telus

1 -(Real IP) Dynamic
2 - - (Router IP) 192.168.0.1
3 - - - (NAT IP) 2x ComPuters 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.3

NAT IP has a range of about 192.168.0.XX XX = ( 2 - 33 )

I havent had a chance to test any port forwarding feature as V net is down and when I started to configure my wife gave me $&^^ for rebooting my DSL 604+ after every change and cutting off her downloads....

I have an old ICQ number but havent used it in years
