Need help with game crash

In each of my games, the game ends 5/10 min after I started with this crash where my screen get pixelited like this and the game stop responding. I play without any mods, in french, with the subscription activated. I tried to reinstall EU4, to check the integrity of the files on steam, update my pilotes, but it doesn't solve the issue. It as been several years that I'm playing the game and I never had this problem before. Could someone help me please ?

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Europa Universalis IV AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.



IF that doesn't help:
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis IV/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

Please edit that settings.txt as follows:

refreshRate=60
fullScreen=yes
borderless=no

vsync=no

THEN in the Paradox launcher go into Game Settings and also select fullScreen.

Then start a new unmodded campaign - do you still get this problem?

Thank you again, but my game crashed anyways. If you find a solution, I will be really grateful. Otherwise, it is just a game, I will be waiting for EU5, if my computer can manage it !

Can i get new copies of all those files I asked for please, including the dxdiag.txt .

AND,
Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install
SPEEDFAN http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
