Need Help with Multiplayer

My friend and I are trying to play CK in multiplayer. We are using Hamachi for the LAN connection, but we can't seem to get it to work. When my friend hosts a game in Local Area, it says there is no game and yet I can see his name (in grey type) under the drop down menu; he howeve cannot see me if I host.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what we're doing wrong? We tried to follow some of the ideas in the newbie guide, but we're both somewhat internet illiterate and not sure if we did it right.

I might, but I'm going to have to play around a bit with my local network, and I won't be able to do that until Sunday. I will tell you that my various windows firewall settings are so odd that I cannot set up a LAN game between my two computers at home, and so I suspect you have similar problems.
