Hello, it's been a long time since I launched the game (2-3 years), I just saw that now there is a launcher.
Problem: When I launch my backup, I find myself on an earlier version of this one. The game does not offer me the correct save.
it bothers me a lot because on the backup that the game wants to launch there is nothing left, and it was my only game which is quite long (+40 hours). I had a large fleet, many inhabited people and alliances. Now I'm left with none of that...

I'm not very good at handling backups that might have been made in my Steam's files or other files. So if you think you can help me I would very much appreciate it. THANKS

here the proposition made by the games :

A saved game from several years ago will not work properly under the current game version, there have been too many major changes since.

To continue it you'd need to revert to the game version you last played it under. You can see what game version was released when here:

To revert you go into the Steam Betas tab for this game. And as you are going back several versions, it would be best to delete everything in the Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris folders (except valued saved games) so the older game version can write those files as it wants to.

Good luck!
