need help

Hey

I can't load my save games for some reason. Im currently trying to install CORE, but im unsure if im doing it right. What might be the problem.

I've noticed that the game says I have version 1.3a, but i've installed 1.3b :S

You will need to start a new game once you install CORE. Vanilla save games are completely incompatible with CORE.

I know that. Sorry I forgot to mention that its my CORE saves games that don't work :/ The ones i've started to play after I installed CORE.

Do you mean you've upgraded from a previous version of CORE and have trouble running the games from an earlier version?

I have just installed vanilla HoI with no saves games etc. then installed the various patches and finally installed CORE. But when I start a game and then save it, I can't load it.

It says that im running version 1.3a, but im pretty sure I installed 1.3b correctly.

Which version of CORE are you running? The one currently available - 0.22? Also, do you start through the CORE icon on your desktop or the regular HoI icon? It should say mod-CORE2 in the upper right corner on the first screen of the game.

I believe 1.3b isn't listed as 1.3b, since it is mainly an AI update without changes to the actual programfile (hoi2.exe), where the version number is specified.
