hey, im playing as Turkey, my badboy rating is 1
is that good or bad, at what BB rating will other countries start breaking alliances/ and/or declaring war on you?
i read all the posts in the sticky thread but couldn't find anything

any tips on playing as turkey? im playing in IGC 2.0k its awesome, i dont like all of the changes in the 2.3 IGC though:eek:

One is an unnoticable BB rating, and an extraordinary one to have as Turkey. It gets to be a problem diplomatically when it goes over ten. In terms of freedom of action it gets to be a problem when it is over ten and you have the highest in the world-then almost everyone will declare war on you whenever you attack somebody!

Unless five alliances declare war on you when you are on thirteen!:D

Oh, by the way, I wasn't the worst BB, that was France on fifteen, a fact I was somewhat surprised to discover!

It's usually France or Turkey, unless somebody inherited the Netherlands and bagged a hundred and fifty-three trading posts.

I started with annexing the Mamulucks, then Georgia. Persia is another possible target, but then you get the Moghuls on your east border which can be tough.
Try to create strong alliance, Astrakhan and the Crime khan is the most logical. The Gollden hord could be good to. You don't have so many generals, so use them with care. Don't be afraid to move them from one side of the empire to another. They should be where the war is.
Don't care so much about sending traders. Build a few strong colonies in South India instead.

Golden Horde is a good choice for blocking Russian expansion, if you want to take the attritional cost for interfering that far north. Taking out the Mamelukes early is a must. Taking out Persia is also useful as it helps to simplify your military position.

Instead of one enemy (Persia) you gets two (Moghuls and Uzbekistan). I just think it makes things worse.

Well, you do in the IGC-but the Mughals are Sunni, so we have opportunities here-and the Uzbeks have valuable provinces now-so why not knock them out to?:D

True! I you can get an alliance with the Mughals, then you are safe. Usually they get not so friendly towards you because they don't like agressive neighbours
