True, but that seems to be becuase most of our group only wants to fight WWII.

I myself would like to continue all games into WWIII, not matter what happens.

But alot here just enjoy fighting WWII then playing a new game. Im all for playing on.

But CORE .25 is for Doomsday as well, so we can play on with that if the groups wants too.

Once our current game is over i will be starting up a game in CORE, for those that want to play. CORE used to be our standard game in HOI and it was by far the best setup. CORE is has now reached the point were it can be played with little or no bugs.

From what ive seen it looks to be a huge improvement over vanilla.

Well sign me on mike but I will oppose any moves to scrap currently running games simply because the axis are defeated. Unless either the USSR or USA is particularly weak there is no reason not to continue.

Tats why i said when this game is over, dummy. Geesh you branderburg people have low IQ's

Guys. I won't be making it tonite. Have a farewell Barbeque for one of the lads at work. Might be able to make the last couple hours, but strongly doubtfull.

This CORE sounds interesting. I would have to have a play around with it before I commited to it though. Never had CORE with HOI 1 or normal HOI 2, so another challenge for me. Damn, just when I was starting to get the hang of vanilla DD too.

If you guys are starting a new game, I now have a supposed stable roster. Friday and Saturdays off. So maybe if we can try and get a game going on those nights. Just food for thought. SE.

Pity the save got too bugged to play with anymore. Lets use the CORE mod then.

I would say on the whole that there is no clear winner from this game but 2 certain loosers. The 2 euro axis clearly are within 12 months of total defeat.

Japan is beating the USA, USSR is in Poland in early 43 and is clearly the most powerful on the land but I freely admit that I had little propspect against the Allies since I had little airpower. If we had played on till 44 I saw the result being Euro Axis defeated, USSR in berli but unable to dow the allies. Japan then gets crushed by the gang up allies. Its all over by 45-46.

Real pity this game is over.

I recall prior comments that no game would ever end uncompleted, however our last few sessions were so badly crash-ridden that I also understand the frustration players have at finishing this game.

Like System, I see the Euro-Axis crushed within 18 months. Mighty and Gunny played an interesting strategy that tried to decide matters on the periphery, but I think ultimately, the Uk did enough to frustrate these efforts and allow the USSR to wage a confident and ultimately successful war on the main front.

As Japan I had a great game - the disagreement with Nolan aside, I thought it was a game played in the right spirit. I was certainly happy with my end position - though its also only fair to note that I was aided by G and Gunny consistently with trades. Perhaps this weakened them unfairly to my advantage. nonetheless, I would be confident in saying that Japan was easily dominating the Pacific. Any US move on the offensive would have been the first of its kind, and would have experienced a strong reaction. I could not win without the Euro axis, but I could have stopped a more conservative player for good.

It was only early 43 so the Allies had yet to go on the offensive proper in this game. The gamble of the Euro-Axis to deploy most of their offensive capability against the USA and UK in North Africa at the expense of offensive action against the Soviets seemed to have backfired. The arrival of USA forces in NW Africa led to the Axis debacle in Tunisia. East of Suez the Allies were closing in on the stranded Axis armies there eager to inflict another major defeat on the Fascists. In the Pacific the Allies have been happy to hold and tie down Jap/Sino forces untill the Euro-Axis were contained which has seen the Jap invasions of Burma, Australia and Hawaii all fail.

God bless the USA
