New Battletech Box Sets are out on Catalyst Games

My Box Sets arrived today from Catalyst !!! ( Feb 8 )
Came by regular mail from Florida to Winnipeg Canada so took about 16 days total since ordered - not bad.
Very pleased - with Beginners Box and the Game of Armored Combat got a total of 10 plastic minis all in good conditioned and with excellent detail.
Plus a total of 17 cardboard minis double sided with stands (better than I expected)
With 3 double sided maps I can field 2 reinforced companies
All the extra books look good instructions - mech sheets - short stories etc - altogether Very Pleased.
These boxes I opened - I have a second set on order at my local game shop that I will keep unopened when they arrive.

maybe ill get one and show up at mechcon wearing it as a midriff shirt bring back that 80s vibe

Going on 18-days and nothing...hmm. Did you get a message from Catalyst when it shipped?

The Email from catalyst tell me it shipped strangley enough was not sent until about a week after it shipped.
Best way to tell is to go to your account in the store and click on the order - if shipped it should have tracking info you can click on

Thank you. I’ve been checking the status every five or so days... but lately... here let me go and send Catalyst a second inquiry email...
 
Within the hour I did receive a CGL response. It appears there had been a "minor miscommunication" and that I should hear more from CGL by 13FEB.

I am still considering if I should by a hoody to hang beside my backer jacket - no rush I guess
I noticed they added a new T-shirt to the lineup

Same response I received a few days ago I bought the Hoodie and a set of house Davion dice on January 24th :O
I am buying the beginner set next week, I have faith I will get it mall eventually I have emailed them a few times and they have apologized and have given me a code for a discount on my next order for the inconvenience :) I am okay with the wait I am just happy that there are these shirts available.

they are re-releasing classic paperback's I already bought the warriors trilogy to read and am excited to get to read the books I missed from this fantastic universe ( as I never knew about it when I bought HBS Battletech and have listened on audible and read what i can) and the Gray death legion books. :)

Looks like my shipment is in town and “out for delivery.”

It took a bit longer than I would have thought but all in all it appears that “All’s well that ends well! “ : )
 
You're going to let us know what you think of the sets when they come in, right?

They seem to be fulfilling expectations nicely (my own included), but we've got to know if they earn the coveted Prussian Havoc seal of approval.
 
Just curious the Minis in my Box sets are a much Darker Grey than I was expecting - Not complaining Very happy with the quality - I kind of like it they stand out from my other unpainted metal minis - and if I ever get around to painting them, it will not make a difference. Just odd that they are different from the early pictures from the game conventions I saw posted 6 months or so ago.

Edit : By much darker grey I mean just a shade or two short of Black in color

Seal of Approval... granted. : )

The quality of the miniatures exceeded my expectations. The... “heft” of the plastic miniatures was unexpected though very pleasing.

The maps, punchboard Mechs and assorted booklets, cards and sheets were high quality and sparked all the Big Stompy BattleTech nostalgia I had hoped for. I look forward to gaming with both sets. : )

I have to say the new miniature of the Thunderbolt might be my favorite, even more than the Awesome and BattleMaster.

The old one was probably the one Unseen design I missed the least. I'm sure my heresy will get me reported to my local friendly commissar, but... it seemed really awkward and ugly. Not in a good way either, like the Thug. Just regular ugly, even after adapting it from an anime where it was even uglier.

This new one though? It's a good kind of ugly. I'm definitely getting at least one more when IWM starts selling them.
 
Well I went ahead and ordered the Anniversary Hoody to hang beside my backer jacket. Unlikely I will ever wear it since it is a pullover but will look good beside my Liao banner and Jacket.
Got shipping confirmed today so if it is like the box sets will take about two weeks to reach me in Canada.
 
I wish those short stories that come with the box sets had digital versions. I keep all my novels and short stories electronically these days...

Yeah, mine arrived about a week later but I really didn't mind they gave me a code for a discount on my next order as well :)
They were also very nice.
 
My anniversary hoody arrived today only took about 10/11 days pretty good. Good thing it was a clothing item the box it came in was crushed like a forklift drove over it - the hoody was wrinkled but undamaged - came with an apology note from Canada Post.
Now hanging beside my Liao backer jacket and Banner.
 
Hi - late to the party here and having looked around on the net it seems the Game of Armoured Combat is completely sold out.

Does anyone know if there is a re-stock planned or best way to obtain in the UK?
