My saint pierre event is finished for 0.4b.

and about Russia, im not sure what to do. Perhaps just change the Spanish example to Russia? Seems this too could be done by 0.4b.

For a 0.4 b would it be possible to have the really one step installer? like with having a Shortcut on the desktop?
i've installed it and i got the shortcut...
when you installed it, did you installed it in german? or in english? (in the first screen it lets you choose the language of the installer, which did you choose?)

MAYOR BUG - GFX dir doesn't work well with mod-dir (at least on some regional versions of HoI). That's why GFX in techmod were installed into basic HoI directory. On the other hand, db dir works well, so techs and units can be put into mod-dir without any hazard.
New installer is needed - or to fast recieve all GFX files back you should copy those into basic GFX folder (in your default HoI directory).

Well... I changed it after you sent me an email saying the way I had used was wrong... So either both ways are wrong or the way I had it at first was right.

Since it doesn't affect any functionality at all and can be fixed with a copy/paste job I suggest this can wait.

It should work - did you install on vanilla HOI 1.04? Or did you already have C.O.R.E. installed somewhere?

Is this the file you have:
-r-- 1 6151566 Jun 22 23:43 C.O.R.E. v0.4.exe

EDIT: Sorry, just saw your 2nd post. This is fixed then? :D

aparently he didn't saw the shotcut... :D

Great :) Enjoy the game Flashblade :D

Ok guys, what I see then is 1 serious bug (reversed dissent effect in an event that can fire six times, for 12 points of dissent) plus one potential CTD and an irritating mistake with the graphics. Certainly the last one should have been caught over the last week of testing

There's three other bugs logged plus some carrying over from earlier versions. Let's fix/disprove those and then I'll make a new package. I'm not building in any more events, changed techs etc - only a bug fix release, ok? Otherwise we'll break more than we fix.

BTW, my mail database is corrupt so it looks like I may have lost 6502 (!) emails. I'll try to rebuild it but basically as of 2300GMT last night assume that any email sent to me may have been lost. I do have some files from Generalisimo about ETH, will see if I can recover.

Obvious misunderstanding - in my mail I suggested adding DB/units and DB/tech into mod-dir (text files, not BMP), not GFX directory.
DB works with mod-dir, GFX - not. :(

Bleh... I hate these mod-dir bugs... I'll fix it tonight if I can.

Shortcut

I still have the Shortcut error.
I have HoI 1.04 and I have installed CORE 0.4 in the HoI directory, but I don't get a shortcut on my desktop. (Scandinavian HoI, and Danish WinXP)

Is there a workaround to this problem? or is it possible to start the CORE without the shortcut.

Very odd... there should be a white and grey icon of a nuke explosion named C.O.R.E. v0.4.

Well, workaround is to create a shortcut to HOI.exe and then edit the Target field in the shortcut Properties to read like this:

"C:\Program Files\Strategy first\Hearts of Iron\HoI.exe" mod-CORE

So basically you just add mod-CORE :)

Hi Steel

Thx for the quick response. :)

Unfortunatly the problem was more complicated than your installer. Apperently my ability to read english disappered the secund i started to read you readme file, because I guess I couldn't understand the following sentence:

"this installer will add \C.O.R.E. to the path so please manually delete that. Apologies for the inconvenience."

My problem was that I forgot to remove the \C.O.R.E part of the install path. Stupid me.....:p

Again. Thx for your quick response. I look forward to playing your mod.

Glad to hear it's resolved Kong :) I think you've got the first release, the second release should have the auto-append of \C.O.R.E.\ removed.
