thanks for your colorscales tips, they look fantastic! the best thing I like about your colors is that they are not gaudy, they are sensible and easy on the eyes. And that's what counts best. :)

I especially like the light olive brown Russia... seems like a good pleasing conservative color for the Russian Bear.

Your burgundy-red is also a nice good subdued red. I looked at the countries it made red: Crimea, Bohemia, Ayutthaya and 3 or 4 others. Oh yeah I noticed that several of those countries had reddish flags to start with. :) Now I just have to figure out how to make Denmark more reddish, I still can't stand that nasty brown color for Denmark/Persia.

I have to ask one question: can you suggest a color replacement for that ugly medium green color used by Mughals/Uzbeks/Algeria/Georgia and many others? Kinda like the Danish brown, that's another color that annoys me, especially since it covers countries I like to play.

Hmm.... maybe Mughal purple or violet would be nice since that's their flag. At the very least it can be changed to a nicer shade of Islamic Green, since many nations covered by this are Muslims or easterners. Can anyone suggest an RGB I can try? Sorry I doubt I can find the time to learn how to make my own colors. I only know enough to cut and paste ideas ;)

thanks all

Thank you. :)

There are new colors in EU II, but "flawed" in my opinion, so I have made my own mod's. The colors are nice, but like the original Russia color, and the dark grey, much too dark for several of the colors. I have modified them to be just a little lighter. I was very fond of the color I accidently assigned to Russia in EU I, but in EU II, I went with a lighter version of the dark brown "Russian bear". My EU I color is used for other countries. I do regret Russia losing that color, it seemed regal to me. :)

Oddly, that "ugly, medium green" looks good now. Seriously, not because the new colors are ugly, but with more country colors it now does not look "odd" anymore. To your question, in EU I, that color cannot be changed. :(

Like the ugly, medium green, the brown used for Denmark looks better (though, still, my least favorite color). Just having 2 or 3 new colors has made the overall palette much nicer.

Another nice feature of EU II (I hope I'm not punished for violating the NDA with all this) is that you can select (by hacking the files) what color each country gets.
