Cold War except with Vampires, Werewolves and Wizards.
Cold war but you play as ahe magical community, and everyone complains Hogwarts is OP.

Do paradox own the Tyranny IP?, im pretty sure they do and if thats the case id be extremely interested in seeing a proper grand strategy based in its world. the lore and setting was very interesting imo..
I keep dreamin of a kind of grand strategy Dominions. They just did Grand Strategy in space with Stellaris, so Grand Strategy with world mythology and folklore isn't too far-fetched.

The vampire the masquerade/magicka crossover grand strategy game that we never knew we wanted.

I would be happy with either a Cold War or Fantasy GSG. I would also be happy if they took their time developing Vicky 3 and released it to us when it ready and fun to play. No more botched releases please.

If they're really making a Cold War GSG then they have to do it right. No more mana, no "spend 1000 military power to buy a nuke" sort of thing, Victoria 2 is a great example, it has a complex economic system and the best part is that there's no mana.

So, to sum up:
1. Camo
2. Berlin
3. Not Victoria 3
4. A gsg by PDS
5. Armour

Well, 80% of the hints may show that it's a Cold war game. But Berlin may also point to some grand HOI4 expansion as well as the camo. So, we need more hints...

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I'd buy a game where you can organise gnomish guerilla fighters to try and overthrow their sublime magocracy

Reactions:
Even with them saying it's not Vicky 3, that's still what I choose to believe it will be. There's always hope.

Indeed. They teased "we're not making any EU-Rome reboot" all within months of the sudden Imperator announcement.

I may be in the minority here, but what the contradicting "hints" -- armour, modern camouflage, and what looks like a staff or sword -- tell me is that they aren't really hints.

That, or PDX is making a Civilization-esque game spanning all these time periods, and that would be very unlike them.

One thing I haven't seen mentioned here is that Paradox sometimes tend to be thematic (Pretty much all current games recieved a China expansion at around the same time). Not necessarily when it comes to new games, but since expansions and updates are presumably planned already during initial development these days (game developers have to know when to stop, which also means they have to make decisions over which features will be left for the future.) I don't think it should be overlooked.

So which themes have been done in the last year or so? Many european ones actually, Germany has received Holy Fury, and then there's atleast one planned (The European Update, though I think germanics in I:R will be improved too). This to me would point towards either Cold War or Victoria since both could feature Germany and/or a German expansion.

We also have the spanish who got their own flavour pack in EU4 and are now being expanded upon in HoI4. This is interesting as I can't make really make a direct connection between them and anything else.

Time moves slowly between expansions for me as a HoI-player, but I think India might have also gotten an expansion streak with EU4 and HoI4. No idea what this would point to.

I don't think people should put too much thought into this since many expansions come naturally. I highly doubt Paradox would go out of their way to make say a west african expansion for HoI4, even if all other games received one.

But with that said, if we are to speculate properly we must also observe their behaviour and try to find trends.

But Berlin may also point to some grand HOI4 expansion as well as the camo.

1) They called it a "game" not an expansion to an already existing game.

2) PDX has long since stopped making games based on their major titles (like EU: Rome). East V. West and March of the Eagles were the final nails into that coffin.

I mean, the hints to the game may be the armour/sword, while her dressings may mean something else.

And...?

What I said doesn't contradict that.
