hi.
I have questions about the new HQ system.
I can build two new types of HQ (HQ Capital and HQ Region).
But I dont understand how they work. How can I use new types of HQ?
What is the difference between HQ Capital and HQ Region?

Ok I have new question Capital works for all territory, region is country territory? So region in Luxemburg will work only for that 1 province? And In Brussels for Belgium whole territory, did I understand that correctly?

Does skill level of commander of Capital or region HQ matters, or it can be old guard prison?

And what are exact stats of moral and other bonuses?

So how do i get these HQ's? I cant find them anywhere. Nothing in the tech trees about them and nothing in unit construction. Is there some tech u need to do to get them? Or do u get them after a certain date? So far i havnt been able to get past 41. The game CTD when i try to save after jan 41 and the save game gets corrupted and cant reload it. But i will keep playing in the hope i can get past 41 lol. So far ive played as Argentina and concoured all south america and got as far north as the US border before the game CDT on me Played UK but couldnt get anywhere cause of India being taken away from them. Tried SU but everyone formed an alliance against me and was overrun by the combined allied and axis forces in 1940. Mostly played Germany as they seem to have the best chance of winning. But i havnt seen the new HQ's with any of the countries. Im only playing IC with arma now as i dont like AOD with or without IC.

From what ive just read on here. The new HQ system was added in the 1.02 patch. My game says its 1.2 but i think its an older version. I downloaded it from gamersgate a few weeks ago so it should be the latest version. But it has bugs that were fixed in the 1.02 patch. So think maybe its not 1.2 like it says. Cant get the patch from here cause it says i need to register the game. But i cant as i dont have the reg code for it.

Ok Got the HQ's now. The gamersgate version isnt upto date. It says its 1.2 but had the wrong checksum. Got the serial key from gamersgate and reg the game here and got the correct update now. It now says its 1.02. Strange gamersgate havnt got the latest version as it came out over a year ago.

Which commanders should I put in charge of HQs? For example should I put a field marshal in charge of the Capital HQ or would it be fine with a Mj. General? Is there even any benefit at all to putting a commander in charge of an HQ?

I have not checked this with IC, so forgive me if I am wrong, but the rule of HOI2 (and DH) is that an HQ gives its bonuses to other units only when it is commanded by a General or a Field Marshal.

As I said, I don't know if the same is true for the new Capital/Region HQ of Iron Cross.

when I make HQ's I always place generals who are good in logistics this is the true nature of a HQ also reading the game manual will tell you this, I also make some HQ's as support for attacks with inf. brigades ect. this is one of many reasons why this game series is the best strategy games year to date it's not that certain things don't work (all games have bugs) but how one uses what's available

now we know why we have privates & generals you have to plan just like the real deal

Does the regions you have Regional HQs in need to be contiguous to the capital? i.e. do you need a chain of regional HQs from the capital to the region where you need bonuses, or can you miss some out?

+ what exactly is the bonus for haveing them to moral, org and supplies?
