Hi chaps,

I'd like to know what happens when you have all 12 spots in the table occupied regarding new knights or knight quests. What happens with those quests that give or may give you a new hero? Do they stop triggering? Do they leave you the chance of dismissing one of your heroes to make a seat for the new one?.

I currently have a full table, but I'd love to recruit Sir Gawain or Sir Lancelot if I come across them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can indeed recruit new heroes after the 12. They are "in waiting", you can't assign skills and abilities, you don't have access to their artefacts slots and of course you can't marry them or assign a province. But they can move on the world map, lead an army and fight.
You can also dismiss a Knight Of The Round Table, and give the seat to the new knight, (he then becomes a normal knight).

I just want to point out that you can give the knights "in waiting" artifacts. If you are on a army merge screen with both armies, you can trade artifacts for both new knights and regular knights.

Also, note that if you dismiss one of the original 12 and replace him with a new knight, the new knight will not get the +2/+2 bonuses that the original 12 got for being part of the first 12 knights of the round table.

However, the newly elevated knight will have all of the XP he earned while "in waiting" status. For example, I had Sir Lancelot immediately ready to hit level 17 when I added him to the round table.

Personally, I recommend keeping your original 12 knights and not to dismiss one of them to make room for a knight in waiting.
