*UPDATED*

This is the new and improved version of the crescent shield - It's somewhat fat and juicy this time  to help clickability and generally look better.

enjoy!

Does it do that to pagan shields too?

no only muslim ie arab - even the turkish ones remain with the circle coa.

I have a special idea for them but will take a little while :)

Thanks Pikeman im glad u like it :)

Very nice.

I might guess that clickability might be a problem though sometimes. Also it shows quite little of the CoA, so it can be hard to guess different emirates from each other.

Thanks! :)

well i strived to keep more than 51% of the image there, also i increased the old circle size so the loss of material isnt much. clickability - i had the problem with earlier version of it yes but now it works much better.

Well given that most muslim counties have just 2 color flags which repeat troughout arab territories i dont think its so big a problem - i personally never rely on the image thing itself to see relations and stuff.

Well, pagans (early Turks among them) brought the crescent moon to Muslim flags. Most purist Muslims reject the crescent as a relic of idolatry (not to mention a representation of God's creation).

So it might be more fitting to have the pagans/Turks have the crescent as well, or exclusively. But that's a bit of a nitpick. Very interesting work.

Erm.. well good to know that but unfortunately Turk/pagans share the same turkish.bmp graphics so I dont want to end up with Finnish Pagans with a Crescent :)
And of course the crescent would be more appropriate for the late scenarios i guess than 1066 - but still all it was supposed to do is give a more distinctive look of arabs.

erm well i already told you about that :D I think its ok to keep the circle thingy for pagans for now.

Light (skin color) pagans use christian shield shapes. Only dark pagans use same shape as Turks.

Is it possible for the muslims to have different shield shapes depending on whether they are king, emir or sheik?

Hm that makes sense then.. I have a design of a C with a star but am not sure who should get it. Or if its appropriate at all. I really need some advise on this :)

Afaik, only if they are light cultures. Light cultures always seem to use christian shield shapes that vary by tier.
