Nooooooo, not too much debris. My poor laptop won't be able to handle it...

Hmmmm or we could go with more graphics and therefore an excuse to buy the parts and build an actual desktop... The gf has so far deeemed that the money I saved for that should be better spent, logically she's correct but they just never seem to understand... Men need expensive toys... or they are just boys :p:p

Great work on the screens guys, any chance of seeing a British unit though? You already have a purchase from me as soon as it's possible anyway. :p

Heh, they look even more awesome without another website in the background! :D These need to replace the concept art/screenshots thingys on the NWAC main page. Also, it seems to me that the Udaloy II model is missing it's main missile launchers. WAIT! That is a Udaloy I ! It has TWO guns near the bow! I thought the Udaloy I wasn't in the game yet!

The apparent ability to switch the three screens is a innovative idea, love the large strategic map and the second close in one both being displayed at the same time.

GUI looks fantastic! If anything it looks like an easy to understand interface so it will not scare away players new to the genre.

However one question: would it not make more sense to mark deep areas of the sea with darker blue colours and not vice versa as you guys did?

What is the purpose of the two tactical maps?

The small one is a minimap that shows the entire mission area with small icons for units and highlights important events. The big one is where you'll be doing your work ordering units around and actually seeing the different units and different info like the set waypoints on the Nimitz there. The big one can also be zoomed in and out at any time.

The mission area used for these screens is gigantic, and will in the final game be smaller, but it's still a huge area. So, having one small view always showing the entire area helps in keeping you up to date to what's happening elsewhere when you're up in the corner somewhere trying to defeat that nasty sub.
