New player but this black screen bug is ruining my experience, what can I do?

I bought the game a couple weeks ago after discovering it on a "top games of the year so far" post on Gamepost. I then watched some youtube "let's play" videos which got me really excited and I bought it!
But I'm experiencing a game-breaking bug that is preventing me from enjoying the potential this game offers

The issue video or GIF

I get this terrible bug that occurs about every five minutes of play, sometimes less sometimes more.
A black blotch appears on the screen and quickly expands until the whole screen is filled.
The game is still fully running behind it.
Moving the camera around and zooming out can make the black blotch disappear momentarily.
The only way to make it disappear is to save my game and reload it, or sometimes alt-tab out and in.
But alas, 5 minutes or so later it comes back....it's really ruining my time with what is supposed to be such a great game!

Any advice?

Im running 21:9 at 3440x1440 fullscreen, 1080GTX OC'd, 6700K OC'd, 16GB RAM.
Games runs over 60FPS on max settings.

Are your graphic drivers up to date ? Have you tried without overclocking ? There is no real need to overclock you should run smooth.

Have you tried switching from "fullscreen" to "windowed" (or the other way around)?

Ok well, I use MSI Afterburner to overclock my GPU. I've had no issues with my OC profile with other AAA games for the past year.
I've turned off my OC profile and in my two gameplay sessions since then I have not experienced the bug again. So that may be the solution for now.

Yeah i thought it could be related, oc makes funny things sometimes. Glad to hear.
