Hi! I downloaded the latest version of Stellaris a couple weeks ago, first on GOG Galaxy and then when that kept crashing, through Paradox Launcher downloaded directly from the Paradox site. Absolutely hooked on my first game (well, first game version 1.2 -- REALLY didn't know what I was doing first time around
). I've gotten to the point where the tutorial AI is telling me Imy empire has gotten big enough that I need to create another sector (when I colonized my fourth planet), and told me to open the Planets and Sectors screen. I opened it, checked out all the buttons ... there was no command to create a sector or reorganize some planets currently in my home sector into another one. At that point I had to save and shut down because of IRL issues, and when I reloaded again the sidebar on the right hand side of the screen ... I forget what you call it, that thing that keeps track of all your planets, fleets, etc.? It showed two sectors, Core Sector and Frontier Sector. I cheered and opened the Planets and Sectors menu, only to find that it STILL only lists my core sector and STILL doesn't have any commands that I can find to create or split sectors. Not sure if this is a bug, something I did wrong, or something I'm just not seeing or don't know where to look for. I do have an extra Governor available who I recruited a year or two before this all happened, & I checked the Leaders tab to see if there was some sort of command there ... no luck.
I'm playing a version of the United Nations empire that I tweaked into a culture balanced between the ideals of "honorable warriors" and democracy, equality, and all that jazz good stuff like that there ... can give more details of the various settings as needed, but I don't really know enough to know what you need to know to help me, so I'll leave it there for now ...
Any ideas?

Edit: OK, so I stumbled across the command I needed when I was looking for something else in one of the far distant planets, so the issue I originally posted about has been resolved. However, it has given rise to not so much an issue as a question. I have, as I said, four worlds settled, and the way my galaxy breaks down they fall into two groups of two; the worlds in each group within 4 hyperjumps of each other, and with no other habitable worlds that near the core sector worlds and one or maybe two near the central world of the new sector. I had thought that when I created the frontier sector, the other world would be put into it, and it really needs to be if it's not to be perpetually doomed to be a one-world sector all to itself ... it's up against the wall in terms of hyperlanes, no other possible world candidates and no <4 jump lane paths to unexplored systems near it. Is there any way to manually add that world to the sector that currently includes the more central world and will include another when its settled?
(Ironically, the one that's up against the wall is the best world I've found so far, and the central one is a 20% habitable tomb world
with limited districts and lots of blockers that I haven't researched the clears for yet...)
