I also got Sengoku through the MotE offer, but I'm still gathering my courage to begin it! I've got running games in a lot of strategy games already, including CK2 and other huge slow-paced games, so this will be hard, but I'm willing to start more games than I can hope to finish anyway. XD

Japan isn't one of my favorite History subjects, but it will be interesting nonetheless.

I got it through the MotE off too. I always was curious about it, and I really like the period. I tried it yesterday with the Shimazu and - got utterly crushed. :D I'm getting used to the, in comparison to other Paradox games I played, fast pace.

I just got it too lol. So we'll see

Same here. Just got sengoku. I'm new to the game so please advice, where should i start, and which course of action should i choose?
The short answer is: get honor, invade neighbor, repeat. Depending on the size of your clan I'd recommend concentrating your improvements in a compact, defensible area and not worrying too much about your outer kori. Also, build a gun factory quickly.

I'v got this game too, wit the preorder, and I'm trying to get into it.

I don't really understand the ranks and options yet, so I would be greatful for any advice!

Eventually this (the free version in the preorder of MotE) is a good sign for a little more support for this game from paradox? Or that this game is outdatet and will never reworked...

I don't think so, I think this is a sign that they know Sengoku isn't going anywhere, with such low sales, and they're adding it as an extra incentive to buy MotE (another potentially low selling game) as they know Sengoku isn't worth much due to it's lack of expansions and support.

The question is, then, when MotE is given away as a freebie with a future game, will Sengoku be included as an additional attached freebie?

MotE will succeed man, as it has a clearly defined scope and won't be superseded by EU4 or HoI3 as it's completely distinct, whereas Sengoku is a (in this author's opinion crappy) version of crusader kings 2, in a location/era that has much less interest than medieval europe.

In conclusion, VIVA LE FROONCE! - Napoleoh

Or, Paradox is using this opportunity to throw Sengoku at people while testing the waters to see if there's support for it to go anywhere. Optimism's nice, once in a while.

I don't think so.

Please do not ignore my post, because I do not have a Sengoku medal under my avatar, as that is my question.

I preordered March of the Eagles from GG and was given an activation code for Sengoku. I registered on steam and downloaded Sengoku using the activation code. Everything worked well and I have been enjoying the game. However, when I went to register the game here, my activation code was not accepted. Obviously, I have done something wrong. Please help.

Make sure you're using the steam Product Key not the steam Activation Key. Go to Sengoku in you steam library, and click on the CD Key under Links on the right. The code it gives you there is the one that should be used to register on the forums, not the activation key from GG. Hope that helps

Thank you very much. Your suggestion worked a treat.
