New to the MP Community

Hi, I'm a fairly inexperienced player looking for a laid back hopefully at least semi-rp mp experience. I usually use the oranje cheat, so I'll have to get used to not using that, but I do like playing with constraints and I like playing with others. I am aware of the game mechanics and all (I've played a CK-EU2-Vicky-DD GC) so I've at least got that under my belt. My work hours are intensely sporadic and random, but I usually close the store (4,5,6-12:30 shift) at least thrice a week. Other than that I'll be like 9-4, or 5-10. So, if anyone is interested in letting me join a game with a few other people, as a learning experience, please get back to me.

I should also mention that I like to play this for hours at a time, so I'd rather not just sit in for someone else.

Welcome! Always fun to see new faces around here. As for games, I would pop into some of the game threads and see if a player or a sub is needed. To be a sub can often be a good way to learn the ropes of EU2MP, imho. But also to check the FAQs, about warfare and economy, two very useful guides to know in EU2MP. To my knowledge, there are games on mondays and wednesdays, but there are surely more then that.

Another thing you can do, is to join a MP game in its planning stage, there are about two such games right now. Pepsi's game and Throne of Sweden that should be starting relativly soon.

We have a game that needs a Sweden player, on Tuesdays from 19 CET to 23 CET.

I don't what timezone you're talking about when you go through your work schedule. I suspect you are a European though .

Sweden's not in top shape, but if you play it perm, I think we could give it some edits.

I could do a sweden perm on tuesdays, I'm actually EST, from the good ol' lands of South Jersey(New). I may not be able to do it this immediate tuesday because I have to be there to make sure the store gets certified. I'm not sure what CET means, if you could clarify then I can tell you if I can make it this tuesday.

Central European Time. It's GMT + 1. It's the common timezone referred to in MP. 19 CET would be 1 PM for you, which I suppose would conflict with your work schedule .

1-5 p.m., got it. I usually have off tuesdays, but I'll just tell them to schedule me at 6 if they must. So, in other words, I'm in. However, this next Tuesday may not be doable because of the whole certification thing. After that we're scotchy.

That's the gamethread for you. It has a link to the save in the first post. Sweden is probably entitled to some edits as well, but I don't think anyone's really looked into it.


Armor, what makes you think Lordo is Troy? I don't quite see the connection

Poo, it wasnt me. It was Rokka in fact. I just didnt like it, and since he decided to go as far creating a new acount to cheat us, he had to be punished, and consequently banned for doing such (having more then one acount is against the rules might i add).

Rokka noticed both the 10 manus or so he edited to himself, and the 5 merchants in all COTs as well (and most COTs he didnt even know!). By 1500 he had infra 5 and trade 4 in vanila as England...

I think i caught him on QFC1. We kept having ID errors because he edited the game in order to have ever lasting leaders. He also had A LOT of colonies pumping out of thin air, colonies that were pagan, might i say. Colonies as everyone knows revert to the religion/culture of the coloniser. But he forgot that when he edited the save.

That is what happens when you give the save to a person that you never met and never played with, one day before the game is hosted.

That was cheating done in an awfully stupid way .

My own view is that cheaters should all be eternally banned. That shit doesnt belong in a game.

Well, I'm not anyone other than Lord Delancey Eriku (lordofzwergs is my email), so you may all call me Eriku, if it suits you. I'm not burgeoning with experience in editing or GMing, so if you don't want me to do that, I wouldn't disagree. However, this is indeed my first account on this site. As far as edits to Sweden go, if you think it's unfair go ahead, but I'll work with what you give me. Apparently my ICQ number is 495601236, so yeah, that. The last bit of good news, I'm not due in until 6 this tuesday, so I'll be able to play that day as well.

Hehe, I've always been one for precaution, so I understand fully. Are there any mods that I'll be needing to install? I have a fresh 1.09 on my system right now.
