Hello guys, this is my first thread on the forum, be gentle please.

I'm new to the game but decided to go for the "Luck of the Irish" achievement with Kildare. (and for some generic ones while playing on normal)
My main problem right now is i don't know how i could conquer England.
The current year in my campaign is 1526, already conquered all territories in Ireland, but don't know how to continue... England is just a giant compared to me.
My idea was to develop my provinces to get better economy and force limit since trade is dominated by England, so as my first idea group i took the Innovative group and went for the -10% tech idea dip for now. My 2nd idea group was the Offensive group and now i'm trying to rush the +20% force limit idea, while keeping up with mil tech. Maybe i should have chosen Quantity instead, don't know, i want to take Quality later. On actual techs i'm doing okay, i'm maybe 1 level behind on admin (8/10/10). My total developement is 188 which is... really low compared to England's 380 ^^. My ruler is garbage, but he doesn't have much left and the heir is a 6/6/6 woman.
I have a steady income of 6-7 ducs with lowered army and naval maintenance, with those maxed out i'm still making a small profit.

Also i haven't formed Ireland yet, i just own the territory... are Ireland's national ideas better than Kildare's? Or should i keep Kildare ideas? For some reason it looks really good to me... might be just because i'm a newbie.

Comparing militaries, England's force limit is 45 mine is 25. My army has a slight advantage in quality tho.

As for allies, they have Austria and Poland, and i have France, Castile and Portugal... atm they don't want to join a war against England sadly, but even if they did i doubt any invasion would occur, England's navy is just huge...

I don't think I can do anything for now so I'm just turtling and waiting for an opportunity.

What do you guys think, am i screwed here? Do you think theres even a chance of beating England from this position?

Is France still around, although they typically don’t have big navy, they can some time still land troops on Britain. If not then is there any nation nearby that can challenge England?

Scotland, if still around, can also make a great ally. You need to be able to cross between Britain and Ireland and without a navy that can only be done if your side of the war controls the provinces of both sides of that strait. It doesn't matter if Scotland's side is owned by you or your ally. Preferrably you should declare on England when most of their army is away from Britain proper, so that they can't easily respond to you besiegeing their forts - if they're busy with French forces in continental Europe or fight a Portuguese/Spanish colonial nation they may never ship them back (but would rebuild at home if they get stackwiped, so watch out for that) in time to matter. If you beat them, prioritize taking the forts on the Scottish-English border as those are the main roadblock for further invasion.

Another strategy is to declare for Pale and stop Britain for both landing armies on Ireland and cross the strait until you can peace out due to ticking warscore. This wouldn't let you take land in England proper though, as they'll refuse to give up anything unless you hold a fort of theirs on the same landmass.
