The devs have added stuff that wasnt in the descritpions. Like I think Empires and Ashes got forms and originally hadnt that mentioned.

While 2) might be the case aswell, the second season had a lot of stuff in each dlc. I wouldnt be surprised if they go some more extra steps.
I mean.. forms are quite a bit smaller than a dwelling. I personally doubt they would hide the big features coming in a dlc.

But you're free to hope, just try to avoid disappointment.

I dont really count on it. But archon culture never would have made sense. Dwelling would be the next best thing. After that Rally units or tomes. But I think dwelling would be the best because it could work similar to the umbral dwellings, where there are conditions to keep them allied. Archons would probably demand you to be good.

Would be pretty weird if the max evil necormancer ruler has easy access to archons from rally or a landmark. Though if its linked to a landmark it might come with some variant for good and evil.

IF Archon does not get Dwelling the only way to include them in any meaningful way is a sort of structure similar to the Shrine of Prosperity/Calamity
It's archon prophecy, not archon invasion

Archon prophecy will contain a prophecy about archons

A prophecy is like a rumor.

If I were to say "bitches don't know about archons", what this means is, they didnt hear about it. Not that they didnt meet them.

We need a dark subculture that focuses on swarming tactics and cultist themes. Something that meshes well with overlord or eldritch sovereign gameplay, and can really show off umbral or necromancy themes. Dark feudal can be an optional subculture too, but there should also be one for sorcerers and/or summoning, and another for umbral corruption.

In claiming an Archon Culture would never have made sense, I think you’re taking it a little too literally. (I imagined an “Archon” culture having obvious thematic similarities, but not necessarily literally being Archons.) I do think a dwelling makes sense, though. And could easily have worked even if they DID make an Archon culture.

But on another note, regarding the addition of content that was not advertised… Eldritch Realms did not advertise a new ruler type, but we still got Eldritch Sovereigns.

I also wanna say that Giant Kings did not advertise a new dwelling, but we still got crystal dwellings. (Don’t quote me on this, though. Because I can’t remember if that was actually the case. And the steam descriptions have since been updated, so as far as I know, I can’t check.)

I would be surprised if there was anyone who didn't expect lost wizards to become a ruler type.

If they didn't, they certainly would have suggested it at some point.

Wizard kings should have some way of summoning or recruiting those, if not also being to have a ruler specific transformation into one.
A spell to summon a Lost Wizard is a good idea. A way to transform into one… less so. (A Lost Wizard ruler is almost the entire point of the Eldritch Sovereign!)

minus the columns High arguably looks Greco-Romanish unless you're a nerd.

No offense to nerds, you just wouldn't apply it to a fantasy game.

High might not be perfect based on petty criteria, but it doesn't have to be.

I disagree. I think petty criteria is part of the detail that make all our fun fantasy requests worthwhile. I still want Roman Legionnaires, although it's not a dealbreaker if they don't add them because Defenders give me a taste of the sword & shield heavy infantry that my nerd heart craves.

I would also like more unique systems for each main culture that can "evolve" t1 units to late game capable forms. Feudal has aspiration, but its only limited to either archers or defenders when it could be both.

Jordi mentioned multiple times its not going to be a main order culture. Thats why my guess is a subculture is order
Well I didn't, Thomas did. But indeed the Culture was also confirmed not to be a Order Culture.

For those that are familiar with our usual Bingo Game, folks on the discord have been asking for a new Template so the Archon Prophecy Bingo Cards are attached to this post (one completely empty, one with the Free Space filled in).

Its the opposite, if you are out from Discord you lose tons of info.

I know and that's the problem. The actual page and forum of the game receive the least amount of information.
What's the point of having an account here when we are always the lasts to find out stuff.

The dlc won't have a dwelling. 1) the description doesn't mention it. 2) I doubt we ever get a Culture and a dwelling in the same dlc.

I really hope they are also a playable faction. Let's be real here, everybody loves the archons.
Just like they made the shadow demons a playable faction with the girl on the cover i forget her name right now...
