Nothing in the game suggested that NG+ adds level 30 to all monsters in the game, so I NG+'d at level 26. Now I'm stuck at level 27 fighting monsters that are too tough for my team.

The lack of documentation of the more subtle features is a design mistake (I wouldn't know which effect is which until I looked it up online), which is a great shame because out of the three Pen and Paper series, I like this one the most.

I first NGd at lvl 24, its about your party members. You can’t put a point in everything and expect it to work. But here’s a tip: Get druid, put 1 point into renewing ability, and the rest in the passive. Keep using this skill on your cleric and another squishy class. The abillity absorbs all the damage, and the passive gives you a chance for a 2nd turn.
Very quick edit: Oh, and I think the overlevel is on purpose.
