Is there any way to 'legitimately' steal a Valyrian sword from prisoners? Playing as a Wildling King and some of the black brother come from pretty important families with Valyrian swords. I've already got my own, but I'd like to steal one and give it to my bastard son.

Also, what exactly is the rules for inheriting king-level titles as Wildlings, do you have to be male for it all to be inherited intact? because I've got a couple of pretty brilliant daughters but all my sons are crap. Laws have been changed to fully cognatic.

EDIT: forgot to mention I am playing an older version.

No stealing swords like that, only ironborn and pirate can steal them during raids
The wildlings will only follow an heir who is good. If the heir is poor then the vassals will go independent.

My current (female) heir is pretty good (10s/11s for everything but Martial, which is at 26 and 3rd tier combat skills) but I still keep getting the popups which say that people won't follow her, which I'm guessing is because she's female. If it comes down to it I'd rather reconquer with her than rule with any of my male heirs, but it'd be nice if i didn't have to.
