Woo. I am writing this AAR, mainly due to desflurane's WC AAR, and was thus inspired to attempt my own world conquest as Germany. As of my point in the game...its a stalemate. Anyways....SHOWTIME!
JANUARY 1ST, 1936
BERLIN, GERMANY
Hitler smirked as he shuffled through numerous papers in his desk. Everything was going to plan. Germany was slowly but surely rebuilding its former might and power, viciously stolen by the Treaty of Versailles. Soon, Hitler, and Germany would take the first step to showing the world of the Third Reich's power, and Hitler had no doubt that everyone would simply ignore. Looking down at the document he had just finished reading, Hitler fished out a pen and signed it with a flourish, and put it in a folder.
GERMANY
Throughout the streets of Cologne, Berlin, Kiel, Nuremberg, and all the other German cities, the proud soldiers of Germany marched, with tanks rolling slowly behind. The people cheered their soldiers on, while Jews, homosexuals, and Communists skulked behind, glaring at the soldiers with ill-concealed hatred and fury. Only they knew what was happening, and they knew that the only way to get the news out was to commit mass suicide, which they weren't going to do. It was inevitable.
The re-arming of the Wehrmacht had begun.
MARCH, 1936
KIEL, GERMANY
Two months after the Re-Arming Parade, a different kind of parade was occuring at Kiel. Tens of thousands of citizens cheered as the KMS Graf Spree slid into the icy cold waters of the North Sea. In just a few months, destroyers, cruisers, u-boats and battleships will be joining the Graf Spree at sea.
The rebuilding of the Kriegsmarine had begun.
APRIL, 1936
KASSEL, GERMANY
One month after the citizens cheered the rebuilding of the Kriegsmarine had begun, the citizens gathered again in Kassel to cheer and witness the airshow of dozens of Messerschmits take off and entertain the crowds. At the head of the crowd, Hermann Goering stood, jowls shaking with mirth and malice as he witnessed the great airpower of the Third Reich.
The reassembling of the Luftwaffe had begun.
War is approaching. Will the world be able to handle it? Stay tuned for the next episode of "Hitler, the failed-artist-turned-insane-dictator!"
