Hmmm....

I don't know if either Vincent or Laurence still visit the 1964 forums, but it would be nice of them if they could edit that ledger so that Chicago Pact isn't placed on the bar. Nitpicking. :p

Voted number 2 as it's epic. And Rock from the era is quite a good idea actually. Would be fun to listen to Dead Kennedys or Deep Purple while playing.

And wouldn't it be better to use David McDonald instead of George Anderson? He's younger, he was the admiral during the Vietnam War which makes him cool :)p) and a colour picture wouldn't be a problem.

I've got a quick question, why is the US cabinet considered "Social Conservative" if (at least to my knowledge) Kennedy was quite liberal.

Well, (Just a Guess) it could be because even our liberals would be considered conservative in any other county.

Exactly, the best thing would be to have a good mix of the instrumental/patriotic stuff for each side, and then of course some era rock.

I am guessing that something changed in the timeline which makes him a much more convervative man in this AU than in our world.

That's a recent event. In the 1930s or even the 1960s the US would be left of more then a few European nations and more liberal then a majority of them. In fact there were time when Canada was more conservative then the US.

The US being more rightwing is a result of European nations moving left during the cold war and the US moving right especially during the Reagan Years, which resulted in the Democrats moving rightward to try and take the center away from the Republicans. The Republicans kept moving rightward and here we are today. All a result of actions undertaken in less then 40 years. Even then, if folks will forgive me being blunt, we're more liberal on some issues then Europeans are today. Could a Black Man from the Paris Suburbs (in France suburbs are not nice neighborhoods, in fact they're the places you don't go even in the day time) be elected President of France? Could a Turk hold a major government position in Germany? Not yet.

Things could easily change in another 30 however one way or another.

The eternal war against Communism and ruling a nation that was at war for the last 20 years and had a civil war?

Bingo.

I find it better to use more familiar names too, instead of people nobody as heard of. In this timeline, the upbringing of people against Communism is pushing most people in the Chicago Pact right wing.

I have some new screens here soon, of Russia's new skin and scenario description :)

Out of curiosity, what exactly is the situation with the Soviet Union? Are they an all-inclusive-multi-national-kumbaya-singing nation out of propoganda, or are they still trying to suppress nationalist movements within China and India? Is there great potential for the situation in that regard to change, ie. Rebels setting up their own government via event if things don't go well, or now rebellios areas to be pacified with time?

We will give the player a choice of either suppressing or cooperating with the Chinese and Indians. This event chain, however, will not be in the first beta, as it has not been started yet.

AI will always go the path of unity and the bonus and disadvantages that go with it, while the player can risk the unity of the country for greater advantages., which may lead to open rebellion.

What is the status of Finland?

They will start the game in political turmoil between right and left.

Those pics look great.

Also, I've been looking to the map in the first page and I wonder, what's the point in having Mongolia and Tuva as independent nations in a timeline in which both India and China have been incorporated to the USSR? I think that if such a thing had happened in reality, by 1964 these states would have already become Soviet republics too.

Tannu Tuva will always remain independent, and not allied to any nation, for the same reason it is in the Abyss and Armageddon scenarios.

As for Mongolia, its existence has been in debate since the start of the mod, heck, even in part of the AAR. It might stay or it might go, we're not sure yet :p

I've done pretty much nothing but Work and Modwork for the past week, and things are still progressing for a release of a public alpha this week. I likely will not have it for tomorrow, sadly, but I am 99.99% sure it will be done this week. (I work from 7am to 5pm, and then work on the mod from 5.30 to 9.30 - 10.30 most nights, and the mod is currently short on manpower :()

I've been blitzing photos for the 1945 - 1970 era photos for the German, Soviet, and American divisions, which now exceed 100 images done. IC redistribution needs some tweaking, while resources and MP are now complete.

AI files also still need to be changed up abit to get them to work right.
