I've ran the game for longer then a year, so I thought that it can run to any number of years?

Has anyone not been able to run longer then a year using this scenario?
 
It should Ive done work for the broken star and it started when it was supposed too.

{ startdate = { year = 1990 month = october day = 3 }

enddate = { year = 9999 month = december day = 31 }

is what we used and it works.

That video is absolutely epic, well done. Now to take a crack at the new patch.

Hmm, as the USA, there's 2 Russian divs in Tuscon, they disappear right after I start though, by 2:00 January 1. And I cannot seem to make amphibious assaults at all.

Thanks for pointing that out. But how the AI does it I am not sure. I'll take a look at that, as I thought I was able to.

Well ill vouch for the Australians doing it.... saw them do it about 10 times or so.

I may not have checked doctrines for an amphibious landing tech, as I'm not used to needing it. And yeah the New Zealanders and Aussies were landing all over the place, more successful than previous. And I'm not sure if this is intended or not, but I still seem to be pushing the Soviets around until low infrastructure related supply difficulties halt my advance.

Also. Can someone tell me how to disable quick reply on these forums?

As for tech-related issues, I think I'll get to work on a quick hotfix as a temporary solution.

How far can you push the Soviets? Supply in that area is supposed to be an issue for anyone invading the area. Might change if difficulties prove to be unfair.

We shall see how far. So far even my extremely low org units(from pushing to fast through low infra/supply areas) have been shoving the russians around without trouble, the only limiter being having enough units to cover my flanks. I will say I generally tend to have slight numerical superiority, but even in rare moments of parity or in japan where they outnumbered me and were on decent defensive terrain I pushed them back without any trouble. Will pay more attention to numbers in the future, though most local soviet divisions have been pocked and destroyed for now. May start a new game soon.
 
In the next real patch I'll be giving the Soviets more divisions, but low tech ones. They'll need them to cover all those beaches.

Okay, some quick feedback... the Scandinavian skin is... odd. Why the text referencing but one of the member countries? Scandinavia's description refers to Finland as the last Scandinavian territory outside Scandinavia. Only problem: there is no Scandinavian territory outside Scandinavia, and if it were, it'd be Iceland - on ethnic grounds - rather than Finland. Now, Nordic territory is another matter, but Scandinavia was defined specifically to exclude Finland, so... Of course, I have no problem with the state being called Scandinavia. I'd just prefer if Finland wasn't referred to as the last Scandinavian territory (though replacing the text with 'the last Nordic territory' doesn't work either, what with Iceland... hm).
For a propaganda picture for Scandinavia, my recommendation is that this picture is used as a basis (already adopted in the Cold War Modern Day Extension mod, back when it was the Cold War Tech Tree Extension mod for Arma):

Heh, the ministers make it clear that this is an Alpha - maybe a mid-term project could be to make generic ministers and switch the currently Pakistanied governments to use them? The generics could be useful for countries you can't find ministers for.

I'm somewhat wary about Mosley's possible usage of Lord Protector. The Brits tends to avoid Cromwellisms.

The intro... well, I guess it is too late to change the timeline, but SS coup? The ministry seems more like one developed from a *Wehrmacht* coup- von Stauffenberg! Further, I must say the white text sometimes is hard to see against the background.

If the current German government says it was a SS coup whos going to tell them it wasn't.
 
Exactly. In reality, it was the anti-Nazi groups that ended up pushing the coup on, but they just blamed it on the Nazis to remove them from the political structure. Kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

There will be future events from Germany dealing with former Nazi members and the current government structure.
 
Finally going to try this mod out, so is the latest patch for 1.05 or something earlier?
 
So far it works with all versions. Keep up to date with patches though, and make sure to make a backup copy of AoD (if you want to play the original) as it will over-write files.
 
Just started, anything in particualr I should be looking for? Are the various techs that have dates in the 30's and 40's WAD (or rather not done yet)? Also, very good intro!
 
Anything with 30s in it likely have not been worked on yet.
Some techs have 45 and 54 in them, due to future battlescenarios that will feature parts of the AAR in it (such as the retreat from Berlin)

Things to look out for: Gameplay hindering bugs, such as Germany going rouge and declaring war on Spain, or something like that.
Or just general tips in how you feel the scenario can be improved. Ministers are also a work in progress.

Outsiders might disagree about a coup failing, but they would also disagree about it being an SS coup. In other words, I'm quibbling about how the sentence is written in the intro, not about the actual scenario of the mod.

How would you rewrite it? We are going to be dong an extensive rewrite of Germany's desc. as it is.
