So I was playing around with the different versions of EU4 to see what was the oldest version i could play. When I returned to 1.32.5 it kept telling me that Ironman is invalid since i'm running altered version of EU4. I've tried restarting my game, removing alle my mods, and restarting my computer, no matter what it doesn't change anything. Anyone experience the same? If so what can i do?

Please do a full **clean** re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "uninstall" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox Interactive/EU4 folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add EU4.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam EU4 or Documents EU4 locations, before installing again.

Ditto this...just now in Nov.

Never have, never will, have any mods, so... what's the reason for this since 1.32x?

It also appears after following the instructions above, that one or two saves later that the Ironman mode once again will not restart without a CTD...fairly frustrating... While I have 34 DLC add ons of one type or another there are and never have been any mods associated with any of the installs... Any help would be appreciated.

Were these campaigns started under 1.32.x ? Or an earlier patch?

That aside I have no explanation for why a save that worked one day won't work the next. Does this affect both local and cloud saves?
