No Music on 1.08

Hi, my first post... need some help

I Installed my 1.08 patch earlier this week... and i hope that I did it properly.
And everything works beautifully except that the music won't start... the sfx works however and the sound controls are both on 99..

Anyone who knows what to do?

I've tried the settings.cfg but since i'm a newbie I don't know wich program to use to access the config.eu file...

again, any help is appriciated..

In the start menu you have a program called EU2 settings or EU2 Config, something like that. That is the prgram that you use to adjust the Music on/Off and the game resolution.

I have the same problem with 1.08. I accessed the EU2 Setting and the music option was already set to ON, yet no music plays.

Of course I did... I've tried almost everything...

But as I said before.. I'm a newbie...

Can you pay the music files outside the game with a player program?

My Music folder in my Europa directory contains nothing but TXT files. Where can I find the actual music files to test them with an external player?

That would be your problem then.
You should have lots of MP3 files.
I would reinstall the game.

Okay I un-installed the game and diid a fresh install with 1.00. The music worked fine but then I applied 1.08 and volia, the music is gone again, so I am guessing this has to be a bug with the patch.

You are the only one reporting it here. And it would be a very noticible bug.

The work around for you would be to install then copy the music folder to another directory, then patch then overwite the music folder with the copy you made.
