There is a link to a "no population limit" patch by Timur Lang in the other sticky, but the link is dead. Does anyone know where I can find this patch, and whether it works at all with v 1.09?

Erh... it works just fine. I don't know where the patch is, but I used his instructions how to patch the *.exe file yourself some months ago. Worked like a charm.
