No sound - just bought the game I have no sound at all

I have checked and tried pretty much everything I could here.
Re-dwnld/verified integrity
it is not muted on the launcher.
The app is shown on the volume mixer and isn't muted too...
Disabled overlays - Nvidia's and steam's.


I don't know what else I could do.
Please help I would really like to play this game.

Ok here's what I found - I am using Headphones connected on a USB port. As previously stated since I bought yesterday Stellaris haven't had any sound and still haven't played this game.

Now I tried and disconnected my headphones and used my monitor speakers (that are awful btw) and using the monitor sound does work.

Is there a way for me to enable sound with the USB headphones?
