Hi all,
I've recently started my first game with the mod - really great work guys, it's already improved my experience of the game and I'm loving it so far, so thanks very much.
I have a question regarding an issue I've encountered with non-aggression pacts through marriage - not sure if this is my misunderstanding or a bug. I haven't encountered it outside of the mod so I'm assuming this is the right place to post - apologies if I'm wrong and this is a vanilla issue.
I've been playing as the Duke of Kernow (Cornwall) in the earliest start date. After a while, my neighbouring Kingdom of Wessex was conquered by a viking invasion. The viking leader then converted to Christian. Not wanting to be next on the hit list, I married my son and heir to one of his daughters, making sure that the 'non aggression pact' symbol was active. There was a lull of a couple of years while I then attempted to upgrade this into an alliance. Weirdly, sometimes when I highlighted the diplomacy options for the viking leader, it wouldnt even show the non aggression pact in place. Some other times when I checked, the non-aggression pact was showing but he just wouldnt accept an alliance. A couple of years later, he manages to declare war on me and easily conquers my lands with the massive viking army boost.
What gives? Does anyone know why the non aggression pact would sometimes be showing and sometimes not (seemingly at random)? How could the viking declare war on me when the marriage proposal definitely showed it would give a non aggression pact in the first place? Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance - keep up the good work!
