hi,
i would like same old controls of different units together as we have in others similar games (like Sudden Strike 2, Total War series and plenty others):

CTRL+1->10, then select them with 1->10.
i tried here, thinking it was possible, but it seems not... :(
seems me such basic and obvious needs in RTS tactical 3D games then i cant believe there is simply not !

so, am i missed something ?
and is there a way to do that now (or is it just missing actually and no other way to do) ?

thx

Yes you can make groups with ctrl+ number.

ah ok thx.
strange it works not for me...
i have customized all controls of the game, i hope it doesnt affect groups with CTRL+numbers.
thats the only explanation i see to explain why i cant do groups actually by this way...

lets retry, i will check again, thx again (better to be sure, there must be a reason, i'll find it) (y)

cya :)

finaly i found out, groups work as expected, it wasnt serious.

but, now, i live an other bizare effect with my keyboard... no way to do pause in game ! lol (after deployment, so, when battle has already begun, i mean)
strange really, i have customized all keys, but let P button free expressivly for pause-game control (as they say in tuto, by default setting, its on P i guess)
...and it works not, no way to pause the game in practice... :(

and i checked "pause" little button (near scroll lock or Prt Scr), it works not anymore.
may its a matter of using ALT+Tab sometimes in game to comeback on windows desk (i already get the case in others games, sometimes it disturbs gaming itself next, when u go back in, etc).
or its maybe a matter of keyboard ???
...but i dont think so, i use a laptop and keys are slightly different ; but generaly it doesnt affect games, so...?

i dont understand why i cant pause the game.
(it must be a stupid/basic reason, i am sure, but i dont have found yet why) :p

if u have an idea, do not hesitate to tell me, all tips are good to take (y) thx :D

similar mechanic question, how do streamers and youtubers select a card and place a unit then can place another?

Like if I select a pack and place 1 card (or if I click multiple times or crtl click i get a huge monster wave that i have to move around manually) after placing the unit I have to reopen the deck and click the same pack to get another one to place

Its just a small QoL question but it annoys me that I don't know how to do it when i see people in videos do it all the time

i dont understand why i cant pause the game.

At the very end of the Control Options you have something called Toggle Bullet Time. If you have that assigned to P you will get the closest thing available to a Pause. Bullet Time is so very slow so it's not far off from a pause and you'll be able to assign orders as usual. If you need to go away from the computer for a moment then just bring up the menu (ESC) and the game will wait for you.

Pick a card, then hold down Shift key before clicking. The you will be able to place another of the same card by clicking again.
Holding down the Shift key can also be used to chain a number of move orders, like for instance fast-move to point A then attack-move from there to point B.

u should check to set options to test different gameplay managing.
including controls but also about the rest, like reinforts pack let all time deck open (i prefer that perso, it takes few place above the screen and less tim to select what u need)

but put reinforts cards is always double clic only, i never tried to pu them fast with CTRL though, i will check next time.
yet after customized all controls, i feel more effective, wich is also a good way to learn keys controls directly on keyboard and earn time compared with using hud for special cmds.

about videos, i a m often bored by the way MP players are shown.
when one leave/surrender for exemple, we dont know wich one he is, wich color he is on the map...
i think names of players should be underlined with own color or something, could be more clear.

but step by step, we will finish by master advanced gameplay, its the key to fast managing & efficency, like often in these RTS games. :)

aaaah... so that means there is no pause key in game simply ?
that could explain much lol

...but bullet speed sounded like a very fast speed expression from my point of view... lol :p
well, i will check anyway :D

although, i already play in slow speed all time, not normal, very slow is quite too much passive, but yeah if no real pause in game, thats the best solution.

i thought we could, like in Total War games, put game on pause and still give orders.
but it changes perspective of gaming then, i assume devs didnt wanted that, such it decrease pressure and tentions for player if we can pause the game, etc.

thx for info, if its confirmed, i wasted my time searching a pause function for nothing then lol.

I'll just add that when one is playing to learn the game to get better at Skirmish against computer opponents, and/or training before going online; That it's probably not a good idea to play at lower speeds. It's easy to get lulled into bad habits and it also risks delaying ones progress getting into the games standard pace.

It's perfectly okay to lose a lot of skirmishes against the easiest AI, if that's what it takes to get into the pacing. You'll need to be able to out-pace the easiest AI in order to have a chance on the next level or to have any luck online anyway. Don't be afraid. :)
