Hello!

After downloading the E3 map (great work guys, look terrific!) I decided I wanted to mod a border through using this James map utility. But I get the infamous milestone error which should come up when you have to many or few province connections. As I only changed a border and not any province connections at all I would like to know if you have any idea of what is going wrong?

Is there something I should think of considering I´m not modding the vanilla map but the E3 map (Eastern European Enhancment mod)? Or have any other idea of what is going wrong? First time I tried it told me I got 15196 provinces and there should be 14860 something, but i guess that´s because the map utlity is set for looking after 14860 as in vanilla map.

Please help!

I finally found out the reason why I got the .tbl error. It's because I had my User Account Control ON! Simply disable it for the map to be created.

Problem My MapMaker will not start. As soon as I double click the program, it freezes then tells me that the program isn't working and closes.

All I did was change the name of one province in the UK, Cardiff to Powys as a test to see if it worked. But now, the MapMaker just appears blank (as in there's no options)

Edit:

I'm having this problem right now.

i cant really translate it good so i put it in a machine:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

can anyone help me to solve this problem?

Thanks for this tutorial Hannibal: REALLY useful to have a step by step guide like this:). Just need to figure out the Object placement phase, and I'm set! Just finished doing the UK: am gonna move onto Ireland and rest of Europe now. Takes ages to get it just right though!

yes, can you tell wich versions of all tools you need to make a map you uses? maybe i dont get errors then.

thats really impressive Tigey, wish i could do something similiar... I have a question for all the sucessful users of this guide. Which version of GIMP did you use?
GIMP 2.4.6 working perfectly here

welcome, good luck for your mapping developments

Any news yet, Tigey?

No news considering map efforts..? Anyone knows if the vicky2 map can be modded as well?

I am trying to edit the Arsenal of Democracy map with this utility, but when I try to open Map Extractor, it says I need to create an "adjacent.tbl" file first. I followed all of the tutorials directions, but did not see anything about that.

Is it because I'm trying something besides the three programs (CK, HOI, and Victoria) that I get such an error message? Or,

Am I really not following the tutorial directions as well as I thought?

Any help, or clarification about using this utility with AoD would be greatly appreciated.

AoD Map is the exact same Map of HoI2, so start to extract the Mapfiles from a HoI2 copy and when your done, import the files to AoD?
