I knew Paradox loved vikings, but imagine my surprise. It seems to be a glitch or oversight triggered by a Norse adventurer (ala Northern Lords) winning a conquest war on the Steppes.

Incredibly funny, but please fix.

Pretty sure that's WAI because you adopt the government of the rulers you conquered. So conquering a feudal/clan realm will make you feudal, conquering tribal means you stay tribal, so conquering a nomadic realm should make you nomadic.
I think Norse adventurer invaders should be forced to hybridize automatically if they win a Viking invasion on the steppe. The Scandinavian lifestyle cannot remain unchanged if a Viking takes over part of the steppe and becomes a nomad.

Varangian adventure gives you the government of whoever you conquer, this is working as intended

Norse already has malleable invaders to help incentivise them forming a hybrid culture, the 1st gen wont automatically assimilate when they still remember vast fjords and mountains

While this may be true, I still consider it an oversight. It’s goofy as hell to see Norsemen in furs and chainmail riding around the Steppe with their horse archers.

Either the Norse Adventure CB shouldn’t target Nomadic rulers, or a culture hybridization/culture conversion should be forced if they win.

If I remember correctly, Adventurers who move to the steppe and adopt nomadic government automatically hybridize with the local culture so I assume it should also be possible to do so for the Adventure CB.

Why? Any landless adventurer can waltz to the steppe and become a nomad, then kick a herder out.

Because at least they hybridize! It’s less disruptive to historical immersion than the sudden appearance of the Rohirrim.

Speaking of which, I thought even this was a bug when I booted up the new version. I play with AI hybrids off for a reason; I do not want to see Irish-Buryat rulers running around in my game.

Hybrids as a whole need a lot more unique and streamlined pre-settings to keep the AI from creating hideous abominations.

Stopping irish people getting all the way to buryatia is the bigger issue

Horses, longships, what's the difference? You're getting too philosophical. They're all just primitive bicycles.
