In the NATO campaign where you are protecting the American carrier going through the straight, i can easily take out 5 of their long range bombers but have difficulty finding their subs. I've only managed to find one sub thats lurking by the carrier, by using the SH-60B's sonobouys, but it seems the P-8's cannot use their sonobouys to track the subs. Any ideas guys?

P-8 sonobuoys work just the same as the SH-60's.

I found boths subs close to my carrier group. It took a lot of patience and ridiculous amounts of buoys. Consider that subs are slow so for the scenario to make sense they couldn't put the subs too far.

I used hand-made patterns for the buoys because the default is kind of crappy.

Thanks mate, just running thorugh it now, it's just tiring because i want to get past this level. Is there any way the CG Ticonderoga can pick up the subs with their sonar or does it have to be sitting on top of the sub to make contact?

The subs fired at me before I could detect them. Thankfully I was able to sink them before their torpedoes hit, but it was quite a nail biting moment.

I had laid a ton of buoys in front of my fleet, but I was looking in the totally wrong direction. They where to the side and behind the carrier.
