[beta pacth] unable to start a new game

Decide to try again. so I d/l the beta patch 10 oct. and try to start a new game as denmark (1066 campain). Game says it can't find db\events\sin_events.txt and refuses to start. And you know what, it's right. There is no such file?? Same thing happend when trying sweden.

yes. I even rechecked the rar file, and no suchs events file in there either.
Could anyone checked their folder and see if you have the sin_events.txt in the db\events folder?

Wait a min. I did not overwrite a 1.04a install. I did a clean install and overwrote with the beta patch. Is that incorrect (checking)...

After checking the "1.04b - Betapatch - 10th of October 2004" post by Johan, I realize that I hadn't patched to 1.04a before updating to 1.04b beta.
