I see Dead People. And they AGE!

My son, who died at age 1 in 1068, would today be 20 years old. The reason I bothered to check this is that his blacked-out child image has been replaced by an image of what he would have looked like were he still alive!

Creepy.

I wouldn't say a useless feature is a bug.

We already know there is a bug with dead people not being dead enough. I would argue that this is one more example of the problem, albeit a harmless one.

Besides, even it if is not a bug, it is not quite logical that, were I to open my dead child's coffin 16 years after his burial, I would find a dead, grown man inside...

Well, if the game is still tracking those dead people to make sure they age properly, it's wasting resources that could be put to actual use somewhere else in the game. With the way save games grow, I don't think it would hurt to modify this "feature" to something a little less complex. Maybe a simple "dead" icon to replace all dead people and list their stats or year of birth/death or whatever.

I believe that a person's looks are generated as soon as they're born/concieved(?), having glanced at the save files in the past. Therefore, the game isn't doing anything more than remembering whats already there. Now, whether it can be done, and whether its worth having the game delete the deceased's DNA string is another matter.

The game tracking dead people does seem to be a huge problem.

Most of us have seen long dead Popes being elected, etc.
