Oversized Regiments

I'm not sure how this happened but I'm playing England in the 1066 campaign. Well, I'm in 1091 and one problem is that my regiments are almost always oversized.. For example, Essex regiment alone being around 30000 men. Now, I'm not one to argue about having too many troops, except when almost all of them die due to being undersupported.

Hmmm...

Can you reproduce that one from a save?

After doing a little searching I think I might possible know the reason why that happened. I changed my steward level to 40  so I could personally run more provinces until decent offspring came along to grant them to.

But even when I lowered the number back down to 15 or something I'm still getting huge regiments. Th Ile de France province alone gave me around 25000 of course, that may be normal. (and I was earning like $anungodlyamountofmoney in revenue... and that was with no scutage, etc. ) ???

If you think the problem was the stewardship change then I guess I've just wasted your time. Hmm.... I can still do a save game though if that wasn't it.

Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Yes, messing with your stewardship attribute will produce strange results...
