Since the forum update this week I saw several issues. One is the size restriction for attachments: (partial) screenshots can't be inserted with text because too large.
Savegames can even be too large, even as attachment.

And now, I tried to resurrect a thread over 6 months old: the tick box allowing to add answer to an old thread seems to have disappeared, see here:

Error message:
Oops! We ran into some problems.
Please confirm that you want to reply to this thread.

What can I do to continue that thread and not create a new one instead? Where's the tick box?

Any clue? There used to be a tick box at the bottom of the thread, just above the text box for input. It has disappeared, can we get this again?

In general we discourage "necromancy" (ie replying to old threads) and prefer to have new threads.
There are some exceptions to that rule (thus "in general" and not "always"), but replying to old threads more often than not means replying to outdated stuff. Which helps nobody.

Especially for stuff like OT and the history forum resurrecting the correct thread generally is the correct action instead of making the 100th thread on say German tanks vs Soviet tanks.
So it will be an issue there.

The oldest legitimate necro I've seen was around 20 years in OT and it was fully legit and correct, as it was a new development to an old thing. But that of course is a special case.
But it's not unheard of that there's a new development to an old discussion, e.g. new archaeological finds, and then starting a thread with either a link to the old one or with the entire thing being rewritten seems less than desirable.

Exactly. But OT is rather the exception than the rule in regards to how the forum works.

Also effects the History Forum.
Possibly AARland too.

But yeah, most fora it shouldn't effect too much. Albeit there are some cases were it would too.

Yeah sure but uhm the same problem exists there as well.
Yep, I know. My options in regards to changing it are however the same as yours ;)
