Not Starting, Not Steam Version

Purchased through GamersGate, worked fine (including post-patch) until 2/22. Now, the game refuses to launch. Attempting to start through the launcher, or the executable produces the same result, the spinning circle next to the mouse pointer for several seconds, then nothing. No error messages. Same is true of HOI3, Vic2, EU3, and Sengoku, yet to try other Paradox titles. Have repaired C++ several times now. Re-run the DX installer several times. Un- and re-installed CK2 several times.

Any insight would be appreciated.

You could try updating your video driver http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64.aspx but if that doesn't help it has to be something gone wrong with your system either hardware or a Windows problem. Try checking your system files with

SFC /scannow

in a dos box (ie CMD).

SFC scan found no integrity problems. I'll admit to being surprised though, it would seem the updates from the catalyst suite resolved the problem. Thanks for the direction.
