So, with the Gangs expansion, new notifications such as these below have been added:

Some mods cause the change in these notifications shown in the pictures attached:
- "Less Lethal Expansion" (Contains "Body Armour Improvements" Mod)
- "Prisoner Sorter"
- "Roadworks"

This is not always the case, for example, applying the following mods will result in no change to how the notifications appear:
- "Better Clock Mod + Skip Hour"
- "More Fences"
- "Research No More"

The only parallels between mods that do cause this, is that they seem to edit game entities in some way, for example "Less Lethal Expansion" changes how armed guards look visually, as well as "Prisoner Sorter" editing the security sector of prisoners (entities).
I hope this post is helpful.

Have you contacted the mod authors about this?

Have you contacted the mod authors about this?
I haven't, I only tested with a few random mods to see if they re-created the issues I was having, some of which really old, some or which much newer.
(Reason being I suspected old mods may be the issue, and newer mods would not have the issue but I found this to be false)

The only similarities between mods that recreated the issue was that they edit entities in some way or another, where as mods that just add new walls or floor tiles do not recreate the issue.

Do you think I should reach out to mod creators and query as to why this might be happening?
Or is this something paradox may need to look at?

I'd be interested to see if anybody else can replicate this glitch, and therefore if a re-install of my game is needed.
Thanks

I do, yes.

Paradox do not develop this game, we only publish it. It would be up to the developers Double Eleven to take any such action, but mods would have to be decisively ruled out first.

'd be interested to see if anybody else can replicate this glitch, and therefore if a re-install of my game is needed.
If so, here's my process for that:

- uninstall PA from Steam
- unsubscribe from all mods in this game's Steam Workshop

Delete the following folders if still present:

- Steam/SteamApps/common/PA
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/
(keep any valued save games, of course)
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Now install PA again and see how that goes please!

I've had the glitch with a different mod than the ones you've listed, it was the "Dog Crate Arrow Mod."

From what I can tell is all these mods replace/add textures and aside from Less Lethal the other mods you listed are severely outdated. I'm guessing they're using old methods that are no longer viable
