A lot of the single player diplomacy is based on relative empire size, but the contacts screen is generally closed. Instead of telling me that so and so have signed a reseaarch treaty (I don't care and can't do anything about it), tell me me who's weak and who is strong. If my rival now has a superior fleet power, I want to know. If they guy I've been improving relationship with is now my inferior and open to subjugation, that's important.

I keep on missing the chance to scoop up subjects because I don't notice when the AI Empires become weak. Or spending influence on treaties with Empires that were my equal 50 years ago, but are now my inferiors in the treaty focus point.

To limit the alerts, the Other Empire status alerts could be limited to empires where there are envoys/spies assigned or empires that there are active treaties or statuses with.

On the theme of easier diplo managment, it'd be nice to see empire ethics on the main landing screen instead of having to click through all of them.
